Way back I ran a Voice of the Customer project for Philips. It was the early 90s and the term wasn't invented then, but I was hooked. I have picked up skills in business change and project management since then. But I have always focused on the customer to give us a definition of success (while balancing it with business and employee needs).
After too long in corporate roles, I am learning how to be an independent consultant, tending a little towards VoC and smaller businesses. I am also a qualified mentor and coach.
I see VoC as a key enabler to meeting customer needs and recognise that it needs broad business understanding and support. That is why I volunteered as executive editor for the 'Effective Collaboration' series. I also review VoC platforms and support their purchase and deployment.
In my spare time I hang out with my partner, we potter in the garden, visit cool place and meet up with family and friends.
