About the CCXP

About the CCXP Certification

The Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP) program provides professional recognition of individuals with high levels of knowledge of the customer experience discipline. Until the CXPA established this credential, there was no industry-wide, standardized avenue for CX practitioners to demonstrate their expertise and accomplishments, and no formal credentials that showcased an individual’s standing in the industry. As a non-profit, independent association, the CXPA is well-positioned to grant the CCXP as a recognized, admired independent professional credential.

CCXP Candidate Handbook

Certification Process

There are three phases to CCXP certification:

Program Application and Acceptance
During the application and acceptance phase, candidates learn about the CCXP program and consider their readiness to meet the education, experience and examination qualifications. Those who believe their experience satisfies the criteria may apply and have CXPA representatives evaluate their candidacy. Applicants need to meet both the education and experience requirements before taking the certification exam. View these requirements »

Exam Registration and Successful Completion of Exam
Once accepted into the CCXP program, candidates register to take the computer-based exam through Prometric/ISO-Quality Testing, Inc. (IQT), which has nearly 900 testing sites worldwide. Candidates who pass the exam will not receive exam scores at the conclusion of the exam in line with best credentialing practices and will be awarded the CCXP credential. View detailed information about registering and sitting for the exam »

CCXP Credential Use and Maintenance
CCXPs maintain their status for two years from the award date of the credential and may use the CCXP descriptors and brand marks during this tenure. To maintain an active certification status, the CCXP credential requires ongoing professional development of 20 hours through activities such as CX-related conferences, training events, or contributions to the CXPA. Learn more about using and maintaining CCXP credentials on the Maintain Your CCXP page.
