CCXP Advisory Committee Members Recognized for Volunteer Service

With the start of a new year, we would like to thank and acknowledge the contributions of three long-time members of the CCXP Advisory Committee, each of whom have announced their transition to other roles within the CXPA volunteer community.

Barbie Fink, Chair of the CCXP Advisory Committee for the past five years, has been appointed to the position of CXPA Treasurer on the CXPA Board of Directors. Barbie served on the exam pilot team before being appointed as chair of the then CCXP Certification Board. During her tenure, she led a global team of 25+ CCXP professionals and external testing experts in completing a major two-year effort to update the integrity, comprehensiveness and security of the CCXP certification exam.

Nicole Newton has served on the CCXP Advisory Committee since October 2014, when she joined the CXPA Certification Board, which was renamed the CCXP Advisory Committee in 2017. Prior to joining the CCXP Advisory Committee, Nicole was a key participant in helping to create the first CCXP exam and other CCXP program master documents in 2013. Nicole also served as a Team Captain for the update of one of the competency areas within the CCXP exam project. Nicole will be exploring micro-volunteer opportunities related to the CXPA U.S. Insight Exchange.

Leigh Stokes, another active contributor within CXPA and a member of the CCXP Advisory Committee, will be transitioning to other volunteer roles within CXPA. Leigh is also one of the original members of the CCXP Advisory Committee and has served since 2014. In addition to helping create the existing CCXP exam program content, Leigh was also Team Captain for an exam competency area during the recent CCXP exam update project. Leigh has graciously offered to continue to participate in committee discussions until new members have been identified in Q1 2019.

All three of these CCXP Advisory Committee members have contributed a great deal to the present success of the CCXP and the CXPA. They have worked tirelessly to improve the customer experience of our CCXP candidates over the years. Indeed, much of the CCXP content and information that exists today can be attributed to their hard work. While we will miss their contributions and insights on the CCXP Advisory Committee, we will do our best to continue the great work they have begun.
