About the Program

It can be a challenge to find quality Customer Experience (CX) training. CXPA believes that CX training is best conducted by qualified providers delivering content grounded in CXPA’s Customer Experience framework. This framework was developed through an extensive, psychometrically valid job task analysis study that researched community consensus on the job task scope of the CX professional. The framework also serves as the examination blueprint for the Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP) credential, the only independent credential for CX professionals.

The CXPA Recognized Training Provider (RTP) program identifies providers that have met qualifications deemed essential to providing quality training in line with the CXPA Customer Experience framework. To be designated as a Recognized Training Provider, an applicant must complete a rigorous consideration process including review of:

  • professional qualifications, including academic studies, professional experience, training experience, and certifications. (To be a Recognized Training Provider, an individual must hold CXPA’s Certified Customer Experience Professional credential, which reflects expertise in the CXPA Customer Experience framework.)
  • industry involvement, including CXPA membership, industry presentations, and content contributions
  • quality indicators, such as references and customer feedback
  • supporting materials and representative course content to ensure alignment with content outline, learnings, and philosophy of the CXPA

Only providers determined by independent review by the CXPA as meeting these qualifications may be designated as a CXPA Recognized Training Provider. CXPA Recognized Training Providers are reviewed annually to ensure continued compliance with current program requirements. By choosing a Recognized Training Provider, you are assured that the training you receive is from a provider recognized by CXPA as having the qualifications, skills, and commitment to provide quality Customer Experience training that will enhance your CX knowledge.

Many organizations look to the CXPA Recognized Training Provider program as a factor when selecting training providers for organization staff. CXPA recommends that in addition to CXPA Recognized Training Provider status, those making such a training decision should consider additional relevant factors such as training format, program length, relevant experience in the industry, profession and/or region, and expense. The CXPA Recognized Training Provider operates independent of those factors, focusing solely on the qualifications of the provider regarding the ability to provide quality training in line with the CXPA Customer Experience framework.

Many individuals look to the CXPA Recognized Training Provider program as a factor when selecting training providers to support their journey toward earning the Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP) credential. Such individuals may find courses taught by CXPA Recognized Training Providers useful as a part of building or strengthening their knowledge prior to applying or to meet certification maintenance requirements.

Such coursework should only be viewed as a supplement to a broader preparation plan which should include:
