Thank you for being part of the CXPA Global Steering Committee!

I am writing to share that we presented an update on the project to the CXPA Board of Directors last week.  The Board was extremely appreciative and complimentary about the work, supporting materials, and recommendations brought forward.  While we are still working on the framing from the Board discussions for the Leadership Retreat on the 30th, we wanted to share the attached materials materials with you now - especially realizing that not everyone will be able to make the session in Denver.

    Attached you will find:

    1) CXPA Global Business Plan Consultant Report April 2024 - This report presents the consultants' direct report, based on all stages of the project research and their experience working with global associations.  This is a significant, 39 page document including key aspects of methodology, findings and recommendations.

    2) CXPA Geographic Overviews - This 13 slide presentation presents a blend of information from CXPA operational records, this research project, and other CXPA projects including the Higher Education research work and Regional Council insights.  It is background information to help inform regional prioritization of resources.

    3)  Strategic Recommendations Based on Report  - This four slide presentation distills advice from the report into three global strategies with supporting sub-strategies. These slides will form the basis of the agenda for April 30, where the meeting will focus on helping to identify the key elements for success and other factors for which we need plan to achieve these strategies.

During discussion, the Board gave direction on additional work for staff to complete to help support a successful Summit on April 30 and to communicate geographic recommendations in a more complete context. That work is underway (e.g., developing a list of countries in each region; ensuring that everyone has a common starting point and sense of potential futures for CXPA; and finalization of specific decisions and related future timelines.  We will share those communications with you, and certainly welcome advance questions and feedback from this group regardless of whether you are able to join in person or not.

As I shared with the Board, I am excited about these directions - in a preview discussion with another CXPA volunteer group today, one committee member remarked, "I am so glad to hear these priorities.  These address big challenges I have been battling for YEARS!"

With a HUGE THANK YOU for your work together for the advancement CX,

    Greg
