    Thank you all for the great feedback! As is true in most aspects of business, seems to me that the usability/ease of the customer (in this case, survey taker) should get highest priority, so I lean toward the 5- or 7-pt scale for secondary questions - when NPS scale isn't required for standardization/benchmarking purposes.
