Lauren Rutley is a CX Program Analyst at Sandy Spring Bank in Columbia, Maryland, a career change that began in October 2018. She has worked for over two decades in a variety of industries (primarily in marketing or IT training roles) and is passionate about communication, understanding audiences and client experiences. Lauren has worked on large government research projects, improving software user experience and personally training over 3,000 people on data collection methods. In that position, she also managed the largest Microsoft Surface Pro help desk in the world, serving one million end users. In financial services, she was a marketing project manager, launching 16 mutual funds and ETFs, and was honored with the opportunity to ring the opening bell on Wall Street.
She approaches projects like a puzzle – asking, “What does our audience already know, what do we want them to know, and how can we get there?” She developed this passion from her first job at a performing arts advertising agency, successfully handling public relations challenges and media tours for high profile entertainers and athletes.
Lauren has a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish from the University of Maryland. She prides herself in being a creative person who also knows her way around spreadsheets and servers. In her free time Lauren is a devoted volunteer for Warrior Canine Connection, paints abstract art, and spends time watching movies with her son. She is originally from Baltimore County, Md.
