Creating a New Client Experience: H&R Block Partners with IBM Watson
H&R Block set a goal to “Reinvent the category we invented.” The assisted tax preparation business has been slow to change and to adapt to new technologies. H&R Block decided to set the pace for change and to look for ways to use the most advanced technologies to improve the client experience. H&R Block teamed with IBM Watson to create an experience that combines “The best of man and machine” - the best tax pros with the best technology to get clients the best outcome. Watson works with H&R Block’s trained tax professionals to deliver a more interactive, more engaging, and more educational client experience. H&R Block Tax Pros with Watson work together to ensure that people don’t just get their taxes done, they get their taxes won.

Parking
H&R Block is located at One H&R Block Way in the Power and Light District in KC, MO. H&R Block is the green glass, oval building on Main Street between 13th and 14th Streets. Parking is available just below this building. You may access the parking garage between 13th and 14th streets via Main or Walnut. Drive into the parking garage and come to the gate, press the button and tell the attendant that you are here for the CXPA Lunch. The attendant will open the gate and you should proceed forward and park in a Visitor Parking spot. Please do not park in any spots marked Reserved.
Take the elevator located on P2 level to the H&R Block Center Lobby on the 1st Floor. The elevator located on P1 level takes you to the outside plaza where you would take the stairs to the main lobby. The security desk will direct you to the Knowledge Center for the CXPA lunch meeting.
The Street Car is the best way to reach H&R Block. It stops at 14th and Main. Simply come into the H&R Block Lobby and ask the security desk for directions to the Knowledge Center for the CXPA meeting.

George Guastello, Vice President of Product Management & Client Experience
In this role, Guastello sets the strategy and execution plans for the company’s retail product offerings as well as the company’s client experience programs and services that impact its more than 23 million clients.
But this position, which Guastello assumed in the fall of 2016, only touches the surface of the many strategic roles Guastello has held since joining H&R Block in 2005. Additional executive positions include: Vice President of Client Experience, Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Business Development, and Vice President of Tax Services Finance.
Guastello brings to each role a strong and strategic business industry acumen along with keen understanding and insight into the kinds of products and services that meet the needs and requirements of an everchanging industry, consumer and tax code.
Guastello received his MBA from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo., and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kan.
