As the world’s premier organization dedicated to the professional development of career-oriented CX leaders, the Customer Experience Professionals Association has created a new “CXPA Emerging Leader” award to recognize those individuals who are new to CX, wish to grow their careers in the field, and who have positively impacted their organizations and customers early in their professional journey.
Bob Azman, CCXP, Immediate Past Board Chair and Emerging Leader Award committee member, said there are plenty of CX awards, but he always felt something was missing – recognition of the next generation of CX professionals.
“We need the new ideas and perspectives of our emerging leaders,” he said. “This program is intended to celebrate their work, nurture them in the profession, and support their continued success.”
The CXPA Emerging Leader award is designed to recognize and support those who, though new to the profession, are already making significant contributions through their work. There is a unique developmental component within this initiative, in that it is specifically designed to nurture and support high achieving individuals as they continue their CX journey.
“As an emerging CX Leader once myself, I know this award will further enable emerging leaders to make progressive and impactful change to the CX discipline and capability of others across the globe,” said committee member Anita Siassios, CCXP.
Individuals nominated for this award have typically done one or more of the following:
- Made contributions within their organization that provides demonstrable and/or measurable impact.
- Challenged the status quo and solved business problems that led to better CX and/or benefited the CX discipline overall
- Attended CX events
- Sought help through mentorship or participation in other ways
- Seeking to be CCXP certified
- Working toward building their skills, knowledge, and competencies
“CXPA is committed to all those who choose to make customer experience a career, and we are delighted to recognize those who've made an impact early in their CX journey," said Greg Melia, CAE and CEO of CXPA.
Five winners will be selected each year. The nomination process runs from Oct. 16th – Nov. 16th and winners will be celebrated at the 2021 Insight Exchange Conference.
